Fix unresponsive menus and UI
I'm experiencing a lot of lag in the UI (see screencast). It makes an otherwise fantastic application a bit annoying to work with, and it makes it feel slow, even though I'm running it on the latest iMac with a non-baseline graphics card.
I would really love it if this could be improved.
