find in window style look at

Look at acts pretty funky for some things, rotating my camera. 

Find in windows zooms Out first, then zooms in to what I want.

 

I'd love a "frame object" kind of results if I already know where the object is. 

and actually, you Could just have a toggle of sorts. If you direct selected an object in the viewport rather than selecting it in the tree, there is likely no point in zooming out first. That's just sort of wasting time. It's already in my view. Just frame the part.

 

Also runing the "find in window" command should automatically move the rotation pivot to the center of that object so you can more quickly inspect it.

You can frame object by going to the Nav bar at the bottom and selecting Zoom Fit or F6 key.
