When extending multiple lines in large sketches, there is a large amount of time waiting for the operation to complete between operations. There should be a way to select the lines that you wish to extend, and then select a curve that you would like to extend them to. This could be extended to the trim tool, by selecting multiple lines and then selecting a curve to trim to, or the split by selecting multiple lines and then a curve to split them on. Then the software would automatically take care of the operations for you, saving time in modeling.
