Please create a tool in the modeling workspace that will easily allow me to engrave/emboss text or sketch on a flat or curved surface. The ability to engrave or emboss an uploaded image would be a bonus.
The only way I've found to do this currently, is to create or use an existing construction plane on the inside of an object, then extrude the text or sketch out from said surface to emboss (or extrude in to engrave).
I've found this workflow to very time consuming, unintuitive and often unreliable depending on the characteristics of the surface. My frustration with this differs greatly from what is generally quite a positive experience working with Fusion 360.
It pained me greatly when my friend showed me how easy this was to do in SolidWorks. Please help me out.
