Editing chamfer and fillet features

Editing chamfer and fillet features

Hi,

When editing a chamfer or fillet feature, it seems not possible to edit the selection of edges other than remove them all. This is rather inconvenient if you have a large number of edges and you only want to exclude one of them from your selection. Also, adding edges seems not to be working the same for fillets and chamfers. In fillets I have the option to add selection, but not in chemfer...

Anyway, an idea would be to highlight (perhaps in semi-transparent) the original edges to allow you to deselect them individually.

Try holding the Ctrl or Command key down.

This is more in the annoying category of «sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't»

Even if this would work, how do I know which edges are associated with the chamfer feature I want to change? Say for example I have several chamfer features. The selected edges do not highlight for the current feature. At least not on my system...

Can you do a screencast of your problem. Here's what I see and it all seems to work fine.

Here's the screencast

It troubles when you are editing afterwords, ctrl works when you have not done ok atleast once, means works fine for first time till you didn't lost focus of that selection.

I really don't see the problem. I can right click a fillet on the model or in the timeline and select edit feature, press Ctrl and the fillet's suppressed and all the edges used are highlighted, adding and removing is as easy as the screencast above. If it is not working like that for you I'd suggest making a post in the support section and include a sample file and a screencast because you might have found a bug or there might be a problem with your install.

Mark.
