Drive Model From Excel

Drive Model From Excel

I would like to be able to drive a model using an excel spreadsheet. Not just the User Parameters which can already be done with a plugin, but all aspects of the design such as selections sets and materials. I am working with a company right now to switch over to Fusion 360 and we have an Excel spreadsheet we use to keep track of the material, edge style, dimensions, etc. So being able to update a Fusion file from the Excel file would be amazing!

Yes, Its simple but works well

Go to Add-INs and the Fusion app store and search for CSV

The app is called Parameter i/o (input/output)

It takes a copy of your model parameters, outputs them to a CSV (excel) file - you can change the parameter values in excel and upload them back in

BUT - this is nothing as powerful as Inventor's iLogic - so I suspect this won't be enough for you

I'm also getting to the stage where simple parameters are no longer doing it for me in Fusion and I'm wanting some logic / rules builder for Fusion

Cheers

Kevin

(Fusion makes me happy)

I agree,

This is as we see in many many other software, it's a must, you can edit the excel file, and get the complete familly of design driven by excel, also we should be able to use few excel table inside the same design.

Thanks,

Yan

The table can be made with several data row, the 1st row have to be the name of the parameter to drive, then, you can use any of the rows to drive the 3D parameters in fusion.

Even better is if we can design, then create a list of parameter that we want to export to link with the created excel file, we should also be able to use an existing excel file to link with parameters.
