Drawings in Fusion

Hello,

I am on vacation and I have spent the morning reviewing the drawing work flow in Fusion 360. First and foremost good job I am glad you are doing the fusion product and so forth.

First; When I make drawings in general I like to start with a top drawing. This can be an assembly or an assembly of assemblies. It usually contains a parts list and some balloons. This type of effort is best supported by having the ability to include multiple pages in a single drawing. The parts list often reflects the content in these pages. I do not see the ability to make multiple pages.

Second; When I project an isometric view I like to be able to have it appear as the solid model with colors intact.

Third; I would like to see the title block filled in by the model properties much like the parts list.

Forth; Having a single font for the entire drawing is fine, but in the title block it would be nice to be able to adjust the text size.

Hope this is helpful,

Andy

To its detriment, Fusion 360 seems to be very limited in what can be done in terms of DWG flexibility and functionality. Hope to see improvements soon.

Not sure when they are coming hoepfully spring 2016

As a side note it would probably be better to seperate feature requests into one idea per post, at least I think that is the prefered way.

@abillings Thanks for your feedback - we really appreciate it. The best way to post ideas like this is individually (as @TMC.Engineering mentioned in the comments below). That helps us track and communicate out the status' more accurately.

I'll respond to each of your ideas individually here...

1. Multiple Pages is not currently a feature we have completed. You can, however, create multiple drawings to get around that for the time being. This is on our roadmap to do in 2016.

2. You can change the visual style of any view (base views or projected views) by double-clicking on the view and modifying the Appearance selection. Shaded Views is something we recently added to the project, so you should have all the appearance styles you want.

3. Auto-filling of the title block with model attributes is also on our roadmap for 2016.

4. Can you go into some more detail about why you want / need to edit the text height inside the title block? We default the title block sizes to adhere to ISO / ASME standards currently.

Thanks again for contributing your ideas - we hope to see more from you in the future!

Best,

Timera

Following up on this, 3 and 4 are implemented.

1 is being worked on. We will update this post (and other related ones) once we have Multi-sheet implemented.
