When generating drawings it is currently impossible (without a bad kludge) to do something as simple as show the distance between two curved sections.
If you have a part shaped like (=) then you can easily measure the distance between the two tops of the rounded edges, but it would be extremely useful (one might say necessary) to show the distance between the maximum extent / bounding box of the part (or subcomponent)
