Drag and drop and local conversion
Hi,
I would like to drag and drop compatible cad files (x_t, stp, 3dm, etc.) directly in the data panel column or in drawing area.
Now we have to press the "Upload button"....drag and drop the file....wait the uploading....load the converted file in the working area.
This is time consuming.
I'd like to have local cad translators within Fusion360 that translate immediately the file. The upload process on the cloud can be processed in the background.
Both would be great and I'm of the opinion that, in general, if it's not enhancing user experience for something to go through the cloud and it can be done locally, it should be.
As of the July update, you can use "new from from file" command to create a new design from a local sat/step/iges/f3d file. We are working on the ability to insert these neutral files using drag and drop next.
