Dimension cursor icon disappears after first dimension

When adding the first dimension, the cursor has the little dimension icon on it, as usual.  But once you've entered the value for that dimension and you hit enter, the dimension tool is still active (which is a good thing) but the cursor icon is no longer there (which isn't).  Seems like a bug!

I'm on Windows 7 Professional SP1, if that matters.
