Delete a Version, or be able to select a prior version. Repost.

This is the first software I have ever seen that a saved version cannot be deleted. I was working on V6 I open that and made a change that I realized was incorrect. So I wanted to open the prior version. I can't do that. Frustrating. Instead I had to promote 6 which is now 8 in the cue with errors buried in 7 in the cue which  can't be deleted.

So my cue has errors in it. This is making me seriously consider dropping Fusion 360 which I had planned on learning and transistorizing to. If I can't open any version and keep the number I seriously wonder what the code writers are thinking. So to clean this up I had to save the project as a new name but was unable to delete the old project because V6 which is error free was used in a different assembly. All of this frustration could have been avoided if I just could have rolled back to V6 and deleted V7.

Hi Brad

Open it on the web.

Go to the file version you want to delete and open it.

Once open go to right side down arrow, click on it and delete the file.

Hope this works for you, it would be sad to see you drop this awesome package

@MariusBaard  When I try this with a test file the whole design was deleted not just the version.

As for deleting versions, I can see why you're not allowed. If you work for a business with several people working on a design it keeps everyone accountable. What if there's a big screw up and someone deletes the version where they introduced the error? Could end up with someone else left carrying the can! There's also the problem with version history with linked designs, you could delete a version that's needed in another design.

The best you could try for now is use a team hub and create a milestone after a faulty version so at least you now the next good version. Another option is just use save Copy As to create a new version 1 of the design and delete the original design.
