Define Rectangular Tubing with Pipe Tool

Define Rectangular Tubing with Pipe Tool

I work with lots of 2"x3" and 2"x4" 11 gauge rectangular tubing. So far I've been making my tubes by sketching out the outer profile with the "2-point rectangle" tool, then using offet to come up with the inner profile before extruding it to the length I need. When I occasionally work with square tubing, I get to use the "Pipe" tool instead, which is always a treat.

Sure would be nice to be able to create non-square rectangular tubing with the "Pipe" command.

I found this info useful. I was also trying to figure out how to make rectangular tubing and was trying the pipe command. I would be nice to add an option for shapes other than round, square and triangles.

Would be nice to have a bit more versatility in the shape the PIPE command can take.

What about an option for number of sides?  Simply tell the pipe command "Square" or "Flat" then have an option for the number of faces.  Still want "Round", use the Round option instead.

I would also like to see this feature as I sometimes use non square or circular pipes and tubes.

It would be nice to have this feature as I work with both square and rectanguar tubes for constructing frames all the time. However, I see that the corners are not rounded to standards on the square tubes, so adding that would be nice. Something like the solution that SolidWorks has implemented.

I'd like to create rectangle tubing along a curve.  With the pipe tool I can easily follow a path and the tubing will curve to the path.  I haven't figured out how to easily do that using a sketch yet but I'm still new to Fusion 360.  Why this feature isn't implemented when you have a circle, square and triangle is puzzling.  At least allow the square option to have adjustable height and width so it can adapt to any rectangular shape.

It would definitely make life easier and save a lot of time with this feature. Something like a define pipe size feature.

We do a lot of robotics using tSlot material.  It would be great to be able to use this to use the pipe command

to replace paths with tslot.
