Custom product "templates" for parametric "Design TO Machining"

Custom product "templates" for parametric "Design TO Machining"

Hello,

I have been working on a work through that I would like to share with everyone here. The idea is to use the different hierarchies in order to make a "design", "layout", "simulation", and "gcode" for a designed part all simutaniously.

I have shared a detailed explination in .PDF format as well as a copy of the total .F3D file. The current file contains a design, layout and gcode.

It would be great in the future to have a way of creating a new File and having copies of parts automatically created and included in a "layout" class. This way, as we design we can have the dissacoiated parts already prepared in another file where we can nest them for laser cutting, cnc, ect.

Ideally, it would be nice to have copies also made for a simulation class where fine details are automatically removed from the parent "design" so that mecha. sims can be more easily applied.

At anyrate, I hope the community finds this interesting!

Best Regards,

Royce S. Florian
