Cove detail on body edges.

Cove detail on body edges.

Add a command similar to the Fillet command that can add a cove detail to the edges of a body.

Can you describe more a "cove detail?"

I think mccarthyprecast is looking for something like the image below.Cove.PNG

This is a cove detail.  I know it can be done using a sketch, but it would be helpful to be able to add this detail the same way a fillet can be added to a body.

Try the pipe command. 🙂

Maybe by allowing the radius in the fillet command to be negative.

A cove detail would be very helpful and a negative command a simpler solution.

I've spent the last hour trying to figure out an easy way to add a 3/8" radius cove (hollow) such as shown above to a model with a very complex edge. My first attempt was to use Fillet with a negative dimension. I was surprised it didn't work and that there was no option to switch from a round to a hollow (borrowing that term from the old wooden moulding planes). As suggested above, Pipe is easier than sweep, but still a lot more difficult than typing a negative number of checking a Hollow checkbox in Fillet.
