Consistent use of parameters in offset

Consistent use of parameters in offset

Currently the 2D offset will not allow & retain the use of a parameter as an input dimension. On completeion the dimension is hardwired to the static value of the parameter. e.g. if the parameter is changed then the offset dimension remains the same.
The value of the offset dimension can be corrected to the dynamic parameter value by re-entering the parameter name via the table on the parameter page.

True, the dimension won't keep the parameter at first. But it works when you assign it twice, right before stoping the sketch. Bug?

Yeah, this is really annoying.

Hello @eng @tima123d @Anonymous

I am happy to inform you that, Offset dimension now is saved in Parameter table as an expression. What it means is that you can now input offset dimension referring to other dimension or expression consisting of other dimensions (e.g. d1+d2 or 10 -d3 etc.).

This offset dimension expression is now maintained in the parameter table.

Please give it a try and let me know if you encounter any issues.

Thank you,

Best Regards

Thanks for sorting that. There are a few of these lurking in config dialogs. Fixing this is a good start.

Cheers
