colinear constraint between line and point

colinear constraint between line and point

Why can't a colinear constraint be applied to a point with a line?

This works differently in different cad programs, some like you say collinear constraint but with Fusion you use a coincident. Just pick the line then the point and add a coincident constraint, works for lines, arcs and splines so in some ways more consistent way of adding a constraint between a point and curve.

??? Coincident is not what I suggested and does substitute colinear functionality. Try again.

Yes it does, did you try it? Here's a screencast if you don't understand.

To Fusion 360 Design Team - Why not adjust the feature so that if it is applied between a point and line it silently creates a CoIncident constraint instead?
