Click to stop joint motion and model animation

When you click on a Joint you have options to animate the joint and animate the model. In each case it starts up the animation and you have to hit the Escape key on the keyboard in order to stop the animation. And in fact you can't do anything else until you stop the animation, by taking your hand off the mouse and over to the keyboard to hit the escape key.

Since you're already doing a whole lot of actions by clicking here, clicking there, could it be possible to add a simple click as a means of getting out of animation mode, in addition to the current stop-animation action of hitting the escape key? You clicked in order to start up the animation, and all you're going to do while the animation is running is look at the screen, with your hand still on the mouse, so wouldn't it be easiest to simply click the mouse button again (anywhere) in order to stop the animation?
