Change the Lightbulb Graphic to show Partially Lit!

Change the Lightbulb Graphic to show Partially Lit!

How often have you expanded/collapsed numerous items in the tree trying to figure out which body, sketch, construction item, etc is turned on or off?

Instead of lightbulbs being "on" or "off" - can we show them in a partially "on" state depending on if (or how many) sub-items are visible/invisible?

Great idea. I hate seeing that light on and the underlying tree elements off

Colors for the lights would be "more visible" - for example Green means all underlying tree elements are on, Yellow means some are on, some are off.  For individual elements Green is ON, Red is OFF.

I want the behavior to be as such: if you toggle a higher level tree item off, then on, it turns on everything below it. period.

No more bodies buried in a component way down in never never land that you have to click a million times just to get it to be visible again.

if you were to click the "sketches" light bulb at the top of the tree, then it would turn off all the sketches, then, when you turned it on. ALL items in a lower hierarchy are forced on no matter what. I can then go and dig down and turn off what I want.

I got items buried 5 levels deep that won't turn on in assemblies that are within a main assembly. It takes forever to get everything turned on lol..

I think the "Partially On" indicator to show that something at at lower level is not visible is still good, I just want to not have to care what is or isn't partially on by being able to force all lower items on by simply toggling visibility off, then on, and have everything show up.

I have several sub-assemblies where certain components (screws, covers, CAM stock etc.) are normally hidden, so the default behaviour of retaining child component visibility is crucial to me. If I want to show all I just pick "Show All Components" from the right click menu. AFAIK there is no "Show All" options for bodies, sketches etc. though, so the partially hidden option you're asking for would be tremendously helpful.

Hi John,

couldn't agree more.  We have a newly dedicated team to look at core interaction and information experiences across all of Fusion and will get the team investigating this to see what are the longer term solutions and if there are any near term/immediate actions we can take on this.  If there is a short term fix that the team can prioritization and  address, such as your suggestion, we'll update here.

hope this helps,
