Let me preface by saying I'm new to Fusion. In my forum search I found that for the canvas not to be dimmed when working in other components the only solution I found was to turn "active component visibility" off. So here goes:
Currently my project layout looks like this. The canvas is a side view of a knife. Notice that my canvas lives in the root of my project and I have separate components for "blade" and "handle":
I like the inactive component visibility setting so I can concentrate on one component in the context of another, but I don't like that this also applies to the canvas because I am still using the canvas to create the separate components. I still want the canvas to be 100% visible. To get around the canvas being dimmed I would either have to duplicate it into each component or turn the setting off, and I don't want to do either of those things.
I would like if active component visibility either did not apply to the canvas by default or there was a right-click context setting for the canvas to ignore the active component visibility setting, so I don't have to copy my canvas into each component that needs it. Thanks.
