Cam setups remember visibility of components (Display States)

Cam setups remember visibility of components (Display States)

When working with multiple job setups in Fusion CAM it would be great if the component visibility was remembered between each setup.

Currently when changing between setups it requires hiding and showing fixtures/components/vices. The added bonus of "Display States" (Solidworks term) for each setup is that it would remind you which setup you have activated to create new operations in.

Here is an example of the parts inside one of my machining jobs which requires hiding and showing components each time a setup is selected. I use 2 different vices and machine a fixture plate between the 2 ops:

I'd first like to say that Fusion360 CAM has come a long way. The only reason I ever started with Fusion was that I wanted a way to get myself rid of Windows (in favor of Linux, or Mac). I'd prefer linux, but Mac is acceptable. I got an old CNC lathe that I completely retrofitted to linuxcnc and needed a CAM package. Fusion was the only thing out there that was reasonably priced.

Now I'm hooked. You guys have given me a way to get Windows free, and the tools are constantly improving. Coming from Solidworks I've got a few suggestions, one that's the same as made in the above post.

I would like a way to hide/show components and bodies in a design without having that affect the design itself. For example, if I've got a design with two components/bodies in it, and I go hide one of them when I come back to another design in which I've inserted that design it wants me to update the references. I know I could break the link, but I don't want to do that either. I just want to change the visibility of components, without modifying the design. This applies to CAM too. I've got a design with 10 bodies/components in it. Some are manufacturer parts (McMaster) some are parts I need to machine. I'd like to be able to isolate in CAM the parts I need to machine without having to hide the ones I don't need in the model.
