CAM Machine WCS Offset Initial Default Set to 1

CAM Machine WCS Offset Initial Default Set to 1

All,

Good afternoon!  I've been doing some exploration within the CAM environment and had a discussion with someone who knows a bit more about machining than I do.  It turns out that in G-code, a WCS offset of 0 and 1 are represented identically within the code.  Any machinist will likely know this, but often engineering types, like myself, are used to starting off with an instance of 0.  In order to eliminate confusion and avoid potential mistakes, I think the value in this dialog box should initially default to 1, not 0.  Please see the image below to see which component that I'm talking about.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Peace,

Pete

Do you know you can set the default to 1 if that's what you want. Just enter 1 in the dialog then right click the input box and select set default.

HughesTooling,

Thanks for the info!  I did not know that, am still learning the program, and really appreciate the tip!

For all others, this idea can be disregarded as there is already a good solution, provided by HughesTooling!

Hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Peace,

Pete
