CAM - Help Menu Clarification on avoiding undercuts

This one is easy.   Just some clarity in the help menu for "Touch Surfs.  When I mill on a 3 Axis CNC, my undercuts get washed away.  See the mold photo below.  The CAM path follows the undercut with a ball end mill.  I just found touch machining, and it appears to have solved the problem.  Can we update the help when you hover over the Touch Surfaces buttons to include the language that states that Touch surfaces are also used to aviod machining undercut surfaces from the Z direction"

The CAM path is right when touch surfaces are used.

I think I put this in an idea before but it'd be awesome if there were a simple analysis tool in F360 (not just CAD) that lets the user specify a parting line and then identifies and maybe even suggests fixes for undercuts.

Hi Pat,

The Touch and Avoid feature doesnt do anything in particular regarding undercuts. This feature will only trim toolpath (keep / discard) on the part for the specified area. So one guess would be that the actual selected surfaces were not appropriate but I cannot be sure. I will try to follow up and look at your example to tell what is going on.
