Bring the command line to Fusion360

Bring the command line to Fusion360

I'm just starting out in Fusion360, but I've worked with Rhino and AutoCAD for years. The absence of a command line is making things painfully slow to use, which is a massive shame, given the power and flexibility that Fusion360 offers.

While I understand that the current trend is very much towards GUI-driven design and drawing, it'd be absolutely amazing to have the command line in tandem with that - while I'm sure I'll learn the ins and outs of the GUI over time, the ability to just type in the command that I'm thinking of instead of hunting for it under a subsection of the ribbon would make life so much easier.

Surely I can't be alone in wanting to see this as a feature?

Don't think you'll get this but no harm in asking. There is a search toolbar, just press S and start typing, pity it can't be docked. I've used Rhino and AutoCAD as well but solidworks and the other solid modelers have been around for years and I've not seen any with command lines. Other option is setting up hotkeys.

Well, having a hotkeyed search function is still useful, so thanks for pointing that out - I hadn't gotten far enough into the software to find that myself.

I think the real problem is that I've basically gotten absolutely hooked on the idea that you can just type what you want - I have a pretty solid Linux/BSD background too, so I'm more used to dealing with the CLI than with a GUI to be honest.

I second this. It used to be an option WAAAAY back in 98' on I think AutoCAD 14. You could whip out all your basic shapes/frames/construction geometry real quick if you already had it in your head.
