To me it would be great if there where a few things added and fixed to the bom on drawings.
Frist, the bug with the wrong quantities if using sub assemblies needs to be fixed, it is promised from autodesk but i think it will take months or at worst more than a year… to me the bom is quit useless atm cause of this.
Next it would be a genius feature to add a summery BOM like in CATIA on the main sheet, there it is called „recapitualaion“, i hope the translation is right. This BOM counts all parts and the total numbers needed, no mather in whitch sub assembly they are. Lets say you have 5 Sub Assys and the same parts are used in them. So in the Summery BOM there would be the part and the total number needed.
In every BOM of the sub Assys are only the number needed in this sub assy.
Next Point should be to change the weight units. No one needs gramm… at least in the sector i come from. Industry. Kg and mm rule the world here.
The final great thing would be to fill out the bom on the drawing on mirror the changes back to the parts and vice versa. Atm it works only one way. Two way would be realy cool… i think at least.
