Being able to switch distance direction in the chamfer tool..
dpar15 brought this to my attention, you can't switch the direction in the chamfer tool when using the distance and angle. I'm sure a lot of people need this. I know I am one of them. I know there are work arounds but it wastes time.
Is there a way to tag Autodesk employees in this thread so that they can see how long this has been ignored? Users have been asking for this (standard) feature for YEARS.
First requested 17th of October 2015! Now 17th of March 2019!
Had another update on 13th of March 2019 - nope! WTH??!!
That's 3 years and 5 months; STILL listed as "FUTURE CONSIDERATION!!"
How can you ever expect Fusion 360 to be taken seriously as an alternative to Inventor (and other vendor packages) when the users need to use workarounds to fix a basic need?
You keep introducing new features, but not fixing the basic bugs and shortcomings of what you already have!
Yup, and now we see where all the development time went - on the Duplo™-Colored Interface.
Still waiting to be able to shrink the size of the icons to increase the drawing 'real estate'...
...and so instead of improving that they moved the constraints to the drawing ribbon so there's even less room on there now (as you used to be able to drag the constraints in the separate window to another monitor). 😤😭
The Team are doing some amazing work on new features, but c'mon guys, it's about time you fixed the blasted obvious stuff first...
EDIT: At least with the V.2.0.6258 update that just dropped, the Duplo™ interface contrast has been improved to usable.
Now, how about fixing the chamfer bug/missing feature..?
If you read up on this in some other threads, it appears that the Fusion 360 team treats this as 'by design' and won't be fixing it. Frankly, this one stupid thing keeps me from using Fusion 360 and I went back to OnShape.

This ^^^^^, makes me sad to hear.
I think I will have to look elsewhere too - a LOT of what I do involves cosmetic use of chamfers, and so this stupid " 'by design' feature" makes my life so much more difficult than it needs to be. I fall foul of it many times a day.
in my opinion this missing feature is really annoying, a "major bug" in Fusion 360 and a base feature in ANY other known CAD-Software. It would be a pleasure to get this issue patched after nearly five years. As you can see, there is after all the time still a desire by your community/users/customers to get this patched. That is why you still get frequently voted and/or commented this consideration.

I still can't get it in my head how this can be 'by design'. 😲 I can assume you have bigger fish to fry, but please, please, have the next new guy / intern / bored person / ... take 5 minutes to add the button to switch the side of the chamfer!
I initially found this to be frustrating as well, however multiple chamfer types are available and using the "two distances" achieves changing chamfer direction pretty easily.. As with most everything, there's more than one way to solve the problem.
kalebreinhart That's great if you know the two distances, but that is rarely the case. And obviously there are work arounds but this should be a standard reverse direction addition.
