Being able to switch distance direction in the chamfer tool..
dpar15 brought this to my attention, you can't switch the direction in the chamfer tool when using the distance and angle. I'm sure a lot of people need this. I know I am one of them. I know there are work arounds but it wastes time.
"This is also driving me crazy! People have been posting about this for years. How does this feature not exist?"
I have tried to be charitable about the reasons, but it is getting harder and harder to do so.
I suspect they are focussed on adding more "Wowee!" and "Ooh! Ahh!" features for Big Business than fixing something so basic - that *EVERYONE* actually NEEDS!!
Either that, or some pillock hard-coded the function in so deep that it is taking a major rewrite of that section of code to fix it.
Oh wait, it is still - "FUTURE CONSIDERATION" - over 2 YEARS later?!
Hey all - this is Lucas from the Product Management Team. Recently we spent some time going through the Idea Station and the product itself to highlight features in Fusion that could use some additional enhancements. As a result of that exercise we earmarked several issues, including this one, to begin work on in the not-so-distant future. I'll hold off on "Accepting" this Idea until we actually begin that work, but I appreciate you all for the comments and votes on this topic. They were useful as we were weighing the potential improvements against each other.
I am honestly baffled that this has still not been addressed. I am trying to convert people to this software, and small things like this are not making it easy to convince people.
I just started with Fusion 360, and I'm disappointed that I ran into this issue so quickly. It seems like this should be an obvious requirement for the chamfer tool.
Just gonna throw another "how is this not a feature" in the pile. Started learning CAD with Fusion recently and couldn't figure out what I was missing... turns out I didn't miss anything, Fusion is just missing it for some absolutely baffling reason.
