When I draw, I often find my center axis, draw a line there, then offset to one side, offset the center line angain the opposite to create my shape widith, and at the end and erase my centerline.
It would be great for the offset command,if we could have a check box option with offset both sides, or offset mirror. The offset to the right would automatically create the same offset on the left side!
