Application of wear in Necessary operations.

Application of wear in Necessary operations.

Hello there,

          Myself Viraj Aher. So far the FUSION 360 has made my life more simple no doubt about that. But coming to the point, when i machine 100s of jobs using the program tool wears and i cannot add the wear to the respective tools on the machine directly. This is where i have to stop the machining and reach my computer to edit the tool diameter. Ultimately loosing valuable time.

          Some of the operations in 2D and 3D as well have the wear compensation under PASSES section but not all. Especially in pocket operation it is must.

          Thanks & Regards!

Wear compensation is available in 2D Pocket, 2D Contour, Thread, Circular, Bore, 2D Chamfer.

Cutter compensation in 3D Operations would be something that is pretty hard to get right, but that might be an idea for people to vote on.

hello Laurens Wijnschenk,

wear.jpg              Greetings Sir & many thanks. But I couldn't find where I can apply wear compensation in 2D and 3D pocket operations. It's neither under passes section (where wear is generally applied) nor in other sections. Please guide me.

Appreciated!

Thanks & regards!!

@Anonymous

It's only available when you have finishing passes turned on.
