'Angle' of Plane along path.

Could we have an angle setting, or degrees for creating a 'plane along path'?

What you get at the moment is a number, which at worst would be a radian, but it isn't.  I'm yet to work out what the number is, but 0 always appears to be aligned to a plane, so an angle would make sense, or at the most complicated an offset and an angle.  This number, which I don't understand, means nothing to me at all.

You might be able to suggest a different approach, but I have a sphere which I'm trying to turn into a couple of segments.  I'm creating planes which I want to turn into cutting tools, but working out the angles is impossible without this number making any sense.

I really don't understand what you're asking or talking about, can you upload some pictures.

Plane along path doesn't have any angle settings at the moment and adding angle settings would not make sense. Would the angle be top to bottom, left to right, or about a line rotated at another angle? Also don't forget the path could be a 3d spline so any angle would be hard to predict.
