Analyzing Welds in Fusion 360

Analyzing Welds in Fusion 360

I have been working some projects lately where I needed to analyze the strength of welded connections. I did a work-around for fillet welds where I simply modeled the weld as a fillet-shaped body between two welded members and then bonded each member to the weld but not each other. This is the same way classical hand analysis of fillet welds works. I believe I was able to get quite satisfactory and fairly and fairly realistic results using this work around, although it is a bit tedious to model each weld. A fillet weld command, similar in functionality to a chamfer, would be a welcome addition. Of course, we need weld symbols in drawings too, or at least the ability to improvise them, but that has already been discussed extensively.

Well, same with my case. I was searching for the same thing this feature is not even available in the most popular softwares too. If this is brought into action in Fusion 360 that will be a great asset for many researchers.
