My initial "Getting Started" experience with Fusion 360 was somewhat difficult for me to create my own project and get to the end as a finished project. I am having trouble with the idea of extrusion that subtracts rather the adds by default. In other CAD Apps I have massive experience with, everything has to be added, then the user decides whether or not to subtract. In the tutorials for Fusion 360, it seems that there is no talk or mention about this additive and subtractive process. When learning the academics of constructive graphical design, it is somewhat disconcerting, and perhaps, confusing for the instructor in the video to assume the student understands the elegant user interface that Fusion 360 embodies, without mentioning or pointing out that each step of creation in the tutorial are additive and subtractive respectively. The instructor should say "We are now going to Add..." or "We are going to Subtract..." Even though the user interface does these things automatically, the Student (me) may have trouble conceiving of the steps to take to get to the end of their Project because of Parametric Additive/Subtractive design.
