While there is already a request to add Version numbers to exported STL files, it would actual be nice to be able to add them to every file. I export .obj files from Fusion so I can use them in Cura, and manually must add the Version number to each file once I receive it (if I remember to do so). Datestamps are not enough
Example:
Working on MyObject in Fusion360, and its at version 8
Export it as a obj file from Fusion --> becomes MyObject.V8.obj
Edit it back in Fusion360 a couple of times, and it's version 10 when I want to print it again
Export it as obj file from Fusion --> becomes MyObject.DV10.obj
Syntax for version numbers isn't super important if you don't like my suggestion above. Just be consistent
