I am not clear on the value of this idea without other additions. One great application would be to use this for custom properties, although they are not available yet!

Text would be useful IF a text object could reference a parameter, then we could label parts.
Boolean (true/false) would be useful IF we could link this to suppression of features, or to control if logic in formula. (Currently we are using 0 or 1 as a integer parameters to get around this)
