Add 3D preview while Sketching.

It would be nice If I could edit the sketch and see what effect it has on my 3D model as I'm changing my sketch.  Doesn't have to be real-time, but would be nice.  If not, have a "Refresh" button on the preview.

The problem that I am having is, that I need to make some subtle tweaks to the sketch, but I'm not sure if it will have the desired effect that I am looking for.  So the work flow is this:

1. Edit Sketch

2. Change the Sketch

3. Stop Sketch

4. Look at the results

5. Repeat Steps until I get what I want.

I might have to repeat those steps several times and it becomes very tedious.

Having it in a separate window that I can put on one of my other monitors would be nice.

Have you tried enabling the visibility of the sketch then enable Show Dimensions. You can drag the sketch or edit dimensions and the model will update. Only real restriction is you can't edit spline handles, you can move spline points though.

I don't want them on top of each other, it's difficult to see and manipulate the sketch items.

Basically I want the "Multiple Views" that allow each view to be either a Sketch or the Model.

From Fusion is not very efficient mathematical core. It's not CGM at Dassault Systemes which is used for CATIA.
Your method will require a lot of computation in real time. Fusion of this kernel will be slow.

Fusion is the best idea for CAD that I have seen, but the technical implementation of the product I was very disappointed.

The situation is similar with Sketchup. Sketchup easy, simple, but it does not do large projects or tools with decent performance calculations because it will slow down.
