3D faceted/textured pattern

3D faceted/textured pattern

Dear all,

recently I see an increasing number of 3D models with a (diamond type) 3D faceted pattern similar to this concept design by Max Wehebrink found in Behance: diamond 3d pattern.jpg

Link: diamond 3D faceted pattern

Is there a quick way in Fusion 360 to generate such 3D patterns onto the surfaces of models?

I am also looking for an effective way to create the transition area between the 3D pattern area and the main unpatterned surface.

Thanks for the tips or the new future improvements in Fusion 360.

Ciao

Simple? Perhaps.

Generate? No.

But I would do it this way:

That's a really cumbersome method of applying textures... They say you'll have to use third party software (Blender) to apply 3d textures to your models. I've tried that, but Blender is sooo complex for just that purpose.

Here's another entry in the Fusion 360 Ideastation:
