June 29 - French and Italian are both available in Fusion 360 under Profile > Preferences > User Language.
__
As mentioned in the what's new - yes! We are working on supporting French and Italian within Fusion 360! Some of you running Fusion 360 may have been pleasantly surprised to see your version of Fusion 360 running in French or Italian after this update. No, you’re not dreaming; you got an early look at these two new languages, soon becoming available for everyone. You may notice some discrepancies in some areas of the product, and that’s because we’re still ironing out the kinks.
Speaking of that, no one is perfect, so if you spot words that have been incorrectly translated, areas that don't have any translation, or wonky behavior running in French or Italian, please reply to this thread so we have a record of things people are seeing and can log them as issues to fix.
If you see that someone has already posted about the issue you are seeing, then simply like the OP's response so you don't have to create a new response.
Excellent news.
I would like to point out that in the Italian language the first and last sentences are cut in the update notification.
Furthermore, the CAM environment is still totally untranslated into Italian.
Good job and best regards.
Hello all, and thank you all people who commited themselves so hard to translate such a complex universe as Fusion360 into French!!
As I suppose you'd appreciate some feedback instead of hearing just useless complaints I would like to give you a few suggestions to make the French translation clearer (I will post this kind of suggestions little by little, as I cannot gather everything at one time). I already see that some obvious mistakes have already been corrected also.
When the software asks in English "Capture position", it is translated in French into "Position de la capture", which obviously means "Position of the capture", which doesn't make any sense. Therefore I suggest to translate it by "Capturer la position", which is much clearer.
Also the term "Form mill"is translated as "fraise de forme", which sounds a bit odd, and I would suggest instead "fraise profilée".
Also there are a number of sections that haven't been translated yet; especially outside the "Model" workspace.
For instance, in the "Manufacture" workspace, "Turning" should be "Tournage" and "Drilling" would be "Perçage".
I will most probably come back in the next days and weeks to help making Fusion360 in French as perfect as it is in English.
Thank you again!!!
I'm a french speaker. Spanish speaker too 😉
I tend to use computer software in English, for universal coherency, not having to deal with sometimes weird translations, and for space reasons too. One of the problems of french is that it is more verbose than English. With longer terms and words, translations are often cropped in dialog boxes.
Anyway I'm glad to help somehow if needed. i.e. through an Excel or similar sheet, first column with terms in English, second French (and while I'm on it third column in Spanish for a future release 😀).
Also, I'm a C++ developer, embedded hard coded strings in source code don't bother me.
Hey all - just FYI: French and Italian are now both available in Fusion 360 as of the last update. Please check it out and let us know if you find anything weird.
Good jobs!
Good jobs!
However in the CAM environment some translations are misleading.
For example, the Bore processing would be better to translate it as 'Alesaggio' and not Hole
as it would be better to replace the term 'alimentazione' with 'avanzamento' for processing parameters.
In 2D adaptive and pocket Pocket (Tasca) the tems 'più profondità' should be replaced with 'passate multiple'
and the word'Strumento' with 'Utensile'.
These are the first things I've noticed and it will be my care to tell you more tips.
Gotcha, thanks for the tip! I'll pass this along to our translation team.
Thanks for the feedback! We are aware that the translation into Italian for manufacturing still has changed to be refined. I'm coordinating with the Localization team and will provide these recommendations.
If you want to know more and maybe provide extra feedback for the next release, please send me your contact into to guillermo.melantoni@autodesk.com
Another small bug: After an update, the link in the green bar points to a non-existent URL (http://autode.sk/whatsnew_IT)
Hi @elovalvo I suppose you are using the Italian version? There seems to be a redirection problem, @keqingsong can you look at that http://autode.sk/whatsnew_IT URL please ?
There are quite a number of errors in the French translation. I'll do my best to report them whan I stumble upon them, but as I use mostly the English version, it might not be very often
Anyway, here are 2 errors found today:
-1- "Position de Capture", which should be Capture de Position.
-2- "Redémarrer l'ordinateur "after a change in preferences when it should be "Redémarrer Fusion 360"
Hi @keqingsong in French , "En Surface" should rather be translated "Surface", thanks.
Hi @keqingsong this French help page does not interprets the HTML correctly, thanks:

Hi, and for our French users, now we have a Facebook Fusion 360 group !
Pour nos utilisateurs francophones, nous avons désormais un groupe Facebook Fusion 360 en français !
Hello,
Just a short feedback about french translation. I noticed two mistakes that blurs the understanding of some functions:
I would propose : "Terminer les propriétés" ou "Fermer les propriétés"
"Propriétés de finition" means something like "Properties of the finishing"
I would propose : "Capturer la position"
Its important because the meaning is reversed "Position de la capture" means that you already have captured something and suppose that you don't have to do it again...
A last one for today:
Use "Projets" instead of "Projection" (same meaning in english)
