Same workspace is shared within lib editor

Hi,

why Fusion 360 Electronics shares same workspace between Components, Symbols and Footprint tabs in library editor.

Watch the video and you will see where's problem with that, specially when you switch a lot between those tabs.

I'm on 15.6" FHD laptop.

@Anonymous:

Also, some panels cannot be closed. Close(X) button does not exist. Eg. I don't want selection filter panel.

Thanks!

I'm with @silvio3105 on this too. It's a complete pain not being able to have these open at the same time. Also very annoying is the way the library workspace automatically changes to the Package tab after closing a package design. I've lost count of the number of times I have opened a Package, when I simply wanted to switch Footprints.

Hi @silvio3105 and @jonrbloom,

Thanks for the feedback I'll put in a ticket for this. One thing to note because you can now tab all the panels (I know there are issues, fix is coming shortly) you could just unite the selection filter and inspector panels with the content manager panel and get back that real estate.

I know they take up room but they are genuine use cases for them and given our current selection situation, the filter can help ease the pain of selecting objects.

The entire library authoring experience is due for an update so I'll make sure this feedback is included.

Best Regards,
