Pads overlapping using through-hole RGB LED

Hello everyone ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm shifting from KiCad to Fusion 360 to design my PCBs and I'm running into an issue that I haven't been able to solve after trying many things.

I'm using Sparkfun's RGB LED through-hole component but the footprint seems to have overlapping pads and I'm getting that error on the DRC.

What am I missing? How can I fix it?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @jvlob ,

I hope you're doing well. It's likely that the Annular Ring settings in the DRC are causing your pads to swell. Basically, the role of that function is to guarantee that there's enough annular ring for your board to be manufacturable. What you need to do is adjust the values so that diameter in the library wins out.

See this page for a full explanation

Let me know if you still have questions.

Thanks for the reply Jorge ๐Ÿ™‚

It seems like that was the issue all along! I modified the Annular Ring settings before but without much knowledge and because it didn't change much I just continue checking other things. But after you pointed out that and shared that article I was able to get those pads perfectly.

Would it be possible to apply this rule only to specific ones or it has to be for everything on the board?

Thanks a lot!
