Timeline is missing

When opening my working files, the timeline seems to have disappeared... the only way to make it visible again is to right click on the project name, select "capture design history", then the complete timeline does not appear the way it is expected.

This has been seen on all of my working files for different projects.

Hello devenful10,

Welcome to the community.

Reset to Default Layout should bring back the Timeline.

Also check Preferences that OpenGL is selected as Graphics Driver and not OpenGL Core.

Hope is of any help.

Best regards,

Hmm, from my experience the latest version fixed that. Can you confirm on what Fusion version you're running at? And also your current OS.

I think that there may be something different going on here.

In some recent builds, mostly on Mac, sometimes, the UI for the timeline seemed to just disappear.  The document was still inherently parametric, but the UI for some reason was missing.  The suggestions in this thread are all ways that, in the past, you have been able to fix this problem.

However, I have a few questions for @Anonymous:  You say that if you choose "capture design history", you then see the timeline.  Is that correct?  If so, then I believe that this is a different problem.  Were the designs in question previously parametric designs?  If so, then are you certain that you did not accidentally turn off history modeling by choosing "do not capture history" in the timeline "gear menu"?  If we have cases where formerly parametric designs have suddenly become direct (non-history-based) models, then I'm very worried.

The other point to bring up here is that imported designs from other formats (STEP, IGES, etc) are always created as direct models.  Is it possible that these designs are from imported data?  If so,then this is expected.

thanks,

Hello Omar,

Good to know the OpenGL / OpenGL Core Profile issue is fixed!

Did not see an update on this by Matt, for sure I missed it somehow, in the mean time I did not retry to change the Graphics Driver to OpenGL Core again.

Thanks for pointing this out!

Best regards,

Ludo

Hey Guys,

Thank you so much for your quick response on this issue.

I appologize for not replying sooner. This week has been rough at work and I have not even had a chance to open Fusion back up.

I will reply again as soon as I am able to get back on.

Thank you again!
