Step Files to dxf

Good afternoon Everyone.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to convert a simple drawing in fusion to dxf. its for a router operation.

can anyone suggest a process to accomplish this in fusion or another free converter?

Thanks in advance

Kinda figured it out on my own.. found a free program Freecad that allowed me to convert.

Thanks

I might be misinterpreting your question, but if you need to create a two dimensional dxf file from your design you can:

  1. create a sketch
  2. project the entities/bodies you want projected
  3. stop the sketch
  4. Right click the new sketch in your browser tree
  5. Save as DXF

That way you don't need any extra software. If this isn't what you were intending, please provide some more details.
