Please allow other export formats to be default

Hi,

When exporting a file, Fusion defaults every time to .f3d - Fusions native file format.

Whilst I realise that f3d is a very capable format, and obviously autodesk want to push it, it is by no means a universal or common file format in engineering.

Every single time I export a solid, which can be 20-30 times a day when big projects are going out, I have to select the step file format from the drop down box. The number of times I have accidentally exported something in .f3d is staggering, my computer is full of junk f3d files I have exported in error.

Please can it be changed so that the system just remembers the format you last used so that if you use step all the time, it is selected by default?

We have no option to use f3d as we send our files off to machine shops who all use various systems and step is the best universal format we can use.

This is a small change that would help cut out errors and frustration for (i imagine) many users.

Thanks.

@peteGCAB6

Thank you for proving the feedback. The option to remember the last used format while exporting is a valuable addition to the export functionalityI have created an enhancement request and assigned it to the concerned team. Once again, appreciate your effort in developing the software.

Hi Rushikesh,

Thanks for your reply. I am a very heavy user of the software and I encounter many little problems like this on a daily basis. I would love the chance to be able to have direct contact with someone at autodesk to report these to, as I am very willing to help develop the software further and iron out little kinks and bugs that I experience regularly.

Please let me know if you are interested in talking and I can start sending my bug reports directly to someone, rather than posting them on this forum.

Thanks,

Pete.
