Moving the timeline marker is incredibly slow

Ive noticed that after the latest one, or two updates, the ability to move the timeline marker in the timeline has become so slow that it is rather painful to use.

I work on almost the highest spec 15" MacBook Pro (I can only get a bigger SD) and this is the same whether I use Fusion 360 on macOS High Sierra or on a Bootcamp installation of Windows 10.

If you move forward to 6:53 in this tutorial I created the laggy effect can clearly be observed and this is hardly a complex assembly

Hi @TrippyLighting,

Yes, I think you are on to something here.  Thanks for posting this.  Now that you mention it, I also have seen this effect, and it does seem worse recently.  We will investigate.

@TrippyLighting @jeff_strater

Not only slow but it can also not move at all meaning:

using the command : Roll history marker to here does actually go to the location BUT does not visually in the timeline move the marker while all other features as expected are grayed out.

It is almost unworkable, even on a high spec MacbookPro.

This seems to be limited to the Mac version only. I run a Win10 installation in Bootcamp on the same machine and in Windows 10 Fusion 360 does not exhibit this problem.

I've also been seeing the same thing. I thought I was my model getting too complicated for my computer.

(Perhaps it is?)

@TrippyLighting: I know that it's off topic... but I guess I just understood what grounding does. Thx.
