How to Split a body to make a door?

Hi, 

I am trying to split door/panel from the main body, but I can't split the panel to create a separate body. 

The part circled in red is the door I am trying to make. The hinges are the little cylinders on the top (I haven't attached a hinge to the door yet) The door is meant to open upwards

How would I go about separating the door from the body? 

I am going to 3d print this project when I am finished, so it doesn't actually have to open inside F360, I just need it separated to be able to print the piece separately.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

You have the door outline, (in a sketch?)

use the outline for Extrude > thin wall > cut - set tolerance size as wall thickness.

I tried using the sketch of the door but I can't seem to separate it.

There is no problem separating the doors but the problem is that the door, on one end, overlaps the main body.  What I did was remove the doors and the section of the main body, separated the doors from that section of main body and then combined the section of main body back into place.  Red arrows indicate the recess where the door was.  Model is attached.  Separate door bodies are labeled.

Yes, you can follow the process in the timeline.  First sketch was a projection of the door frame then this was used to split both doors from the main body. Unfortunately, since the door overlapped the main body, it removed also.  I did a second sketch and used it to split the doors for the main body overlap.  I placed the overlapped body section back in place and combined in back in.  This created the shoulder I indicated in the screen capture.
