How do I make modules / a new construction from components ?

Hi,

I am fairly new to Fusion and I am switching over from Solidworks and HICAD. After 7 years with these two I am spoiled I guess 😄  I am used to working with modules (groups of components) which I can save as a new construction even though I constructed these components in a different construction.

Is there any way in Fusion360 to save multiple components to a new construction without loosing the relation to the origin of the first construction I positioned the parts in?

And is there a way to form folders or groups that I can just drag and drop parts into to organize my construction a little bit ? (I tried making a new component and dragging sheetmetal components into this component but failed)

I attatched two screenshots of my old and new environment.

You last statement made me think of this blog article and video.  The only component you the method shown will not work with is a sheet metal bodies.  They take a special process, which I show in the Screencast.

Thank you for your answer !

Unfotunately this isn't excactly what I was searching for since my parts are linked to their initial construction but I am sure that this will still help me in some situations and it leaded me to a way of doing excactly what I wanted but in an ugly way:

>>I simply copy my construction with all the built in components, delete all the components I don't need in the copied one and put the copy into (with the linked parts) the main construction. And if I don't want to loose the relation to the origin I leave the old parts in the main construction until I paste the copy back into the main construction.<<

Having a function to sum up but not affect some of the unsortet stuff in my construction would be a great feature and saving this group as a new construction would be even better.

With best wishes
