How can I rotate the other way?

I've designed a section of a model that consists of a small table mounted on an axle at one end and supported by a split stay underneath. The axle joint and all 3 stay joints are revolute.

If I drag the end of the table down, the stay 'bends' properly at the centre, but bends upwards instead of down. If I drag the stay centre down, then it works as required, so how can I get the stay to do that when I drag the table?

Use the Joint limit, to prevent the unwanted direction.

Thanks for the good idea John, you're right, it is rather overkill for this problem, but I've learnt something new.
