It used to work whenever I would import an svg it would show up as a sketch and I can get to editing; however, just recently the SVG's I try to import do not show up as sketches, only with a blank screen (sometimes with or without the planes) Although, it is present in the layers bar, it is not on the workspace and cannot be edited nor seen.
I tried reinstalling it and running as administrator, but it just keeps happening.
Can you try inserting it by Starting a new design from file?
Can you attach a file to this thread you're having problem with.

Looking in the file I think it has an embedded image Fusion can only import lines, arcs and curves. Can you change the format the file is saved as to vectors rather than a raster image.

That will not work, you are still saving what is in effect a picture\image. You need to save as lines, arcs and splines.

I can't find a save option for lines, arcs, and splines. Where is that in illustrator?
I've done the same process as before numerous times and the sketch always showed up until recently.
Is the SVG you attached something you drew or something downloaded. I don't use illustrator but if you have had imports work before you must have saved as vectors and the SVGs you're producing now are raster images. You might have to choose the type of file when you start the design, does illustrator have templates or anything like that. Is there an illustrator forum you can ask for advice.
