Fusion 360 - Problems with "Render" function

Hello all,

When I render my 3D model " In-canvas" , I get the result that I desire. However, I need higher resolution renders and therefore need to use the Render option, which allows me to generate high resolution renders (i.e. particular image size). Unforuntately, this Render option gives me very weird results, with weird reflections and overall poor quality. Material is matte PLA so I have no idea where the reflections come from.

Figure 1 enclosed is the "In-canvas" render and Figure 2 is the properly rendered image (using Cloud renderer with Final render quality).

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Best,

Aat

Hi @Tar3q-up

Do you have any errors in your Assembly/Timeline? Both red and yellow?

No I don't have any errors. These are simply imported meshes (not assembled/designed in fusion). The meshes were wrapped to make them "watertight" and suitable for analysis (and with that I hoped for proper rendering).

For now I guess the solution would be to use other render software, while Autodesk is working on it.

That is unfortunate, thanks for your reply!

Nope!

This bug appears to only effect imported mesh models. I personally don’t see any reason to use the Fusion 360 render engine to render mesh models because there are much, much better, free alternatives

available. E.g. Blenders internal renders Eevee and Cycles.

I will have to agree with what Trippy said.
F360 is great for modelling and quick renders with native files.
