When I export my sketch to a dxf, and then open in Adobe Illustrator (CS4), the arc turns into multiple line segments. For example, I have a quarter of a circle, like a pie slice, and the outer arc turns into several straight lines instead of a smooth curve. Strangely, I also have some circles within this "pie slice," but they convert correctly as smooth circles.
Is it an export problem within Fusion 360, or an import problem in Adobe? How do I get smooth curves?
This is not normal, can you share the design and DXF file. Are the holes and the arc perpendicular to the sketch, if the holes are are an angel you will get splines.

It's most likely an Adobe Illustrator issue. The dxf imports into my 2d cad program as an arc:
