Downloading my design in STL format

I'm trying to send my design to a prototyping company in .STL format. What I've done so far is click the "DOWNLOAD" button at the top right of the screen, and selected the STL option. The file downloads successfully, but doesn't appear to be an STL file, or any other file type for that matter. If I open properties, the file type is listed simply as "File". I've tried to import this file into Print Studio, which has also been unsuccessful. Am I doing something wrong or is there another way to convert and download my design as an STL to send? Thanks!

I  don't see a download button or menu in Fusion 360 at the top right.

To export a part or a whole design out as .stl you right-click on that component or the root of the browser(for the whole design) and select "Save as .stl"

I'll give that a try. Where I had been using the download button was actually in my web browser in A360.. I had tried to export from fusion 360 but STL wasn't an option
