Creating a bear claw

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi Guys,

im trying to create a bear claw for a model of bear that im making which i want to get printed later. The problem that im having is that i need a perfect circular base that curves to a point. I can use the loft for change from a large circle to a small point, but how do make it follow a curve?

thanks in advance.

Is there a good way to draw this. ive only been using fusion 360 for a few weeks.

You can certainly use Loft to do this, or Sculpt (TSplines).

Here is a screencast showing how to do this in solids.  You can do the same thing in a TSpline, and then massage it later.  The two keys are

  1. select  single point as the second profile.  You can adjust the degree of tangency at this point
  2. use the curve as a rail (centerline rail)

Hope this helps
